Global Supplier Relationship Manager | Senior Specialist Engneer 3M (retired), Case Western Reserve University Woodbury, Minnesota, United States
When I was nine years old, my family and I faced persecution in our war-torn homeland. Amongst those fortunate to make the hasty and dangerous escape to America, we were homeless, stateless, and facing blank futures. Today, I reflect back on my successful decades-long engineering career with a Dow-30 company where I earned patents and led global teams to bring science to life. It is an ongoing journey where I learned to embrace my story, become an advocate for STEM and gender parity, and strive for a world where we all do better. I am sharing my journey because representation matters – there are still too few faces like mine, and because, as we navigate an increasingly divided world, it’s crucial we rise together. I hope to inspire action, foster empathy, and remind us that our shared experiences can drive change for a better, more inclusive future.
