During her 34-year career at 3M Company, Hang Loi played a pivotal role in leading commercialization programs from initial concepts to production-scale manufacturing, bringing to life innovative products that enhance the brightness of consumer electronic screens and increase pedestrian safety.
Hang is a passionate advocate for STEM and is dedicated to fostering diversity and equity in the workplace. She held leadership positions with 3M’s employee resource networks and embraces the mission of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE). As a member of the Late Career and Retiree Affinity Group and the Asian Connections Affinity Group, Hang is committed to sharing stories to broaden narratives and perspectives.
Hang is a SWE Senator (FY26-28), a SWE Life Member, and serves on the Board of Directors for her university’s alumni foundation and Bridges To Learning, a nonprofit organization. Hang holds dual degrees in Chemical Engineering and Music from Case Western Reserve University.
