Kimberly Young Markiewicz is Vice President, Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer (DE&I) at DuPont. She concurrently holds the role of Vice President, Chief Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) officer for DuPont. Kim is a seasoned executive in both Human Resources and Operations, serving on the senior leadership teams of both in her dual capacity. She has been with DuPont for over 27 years after initially starting her career in state government in Texas. Kim has progressed by taking on challenging roles in varied locations during her career, but one constant has been her involvement with DE&I, including leadership in employee resource groups at the grassroots and corporate level, diversity recruitment, lobbyist and advocacy activity at state and federal levels, as well as commitment to advancing diversity in the organizations she leads. Kim is actively involved and serves in leadership roles in several professional, non-profit and community organizations that focus on underrepresented as well as underserved populations. Kim is trained as a chemical engineer and is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, where she is currently part of the Advisory Board for the School of Engineering and co-chairs the Chemical Engineering Department’s DE&I Advisory Committee. She sits on the board of several non-profits and is an independent director of Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield Delaware.
