Amanda Nagel is a Principal Human-Centered Design Researcher at Medtronic, where she leads the Design Research and Strategy portfolio within the company’s Innovation Lab. She specializes in placing the user at the center of the experience, driving innovation through in-depth research, new product development, and opportunities that enhance the lives of both patients and healthcare professionals. With deep expertise in uncovering unmet needs, mapping complex ecosystems, and translating insights into actionable design strategies, Amanda helps teams move from ideas to impactful solutions. Her work bridges research and strategy to ensure that products and services are not only clinically effective, but also intuitive, inclusive, and meaningful for the people who use them.
Amanda holds degrees in Sociology and Anthropology from Gustavus Adolphus College and an MBA from Bethel University. Outside of work, she enjoys scuba diving when she gets the chance, planning her family’s next adventure, and keeping up with her two young children.
