Kate Sherman is a Principal Systems Engineer based in Minneapolis, MN supporting the Cardiac Rhythm Management operating unit within Medtronic. Kate holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering with an Electrical Engineering Minor from Michigan Technological University and has been with Medtronic for 11+ years. Kate specializes in new product development primarily within the Cardiovascular Diagnostics and Services portfolio. She supported the initial AccuRhythm AI project before becoming the Lead Systems Engineer on subsequent projects within the platform. She is currently leading a feasibility research project that is exploring new product capabilities. Kate is also a certified DRM Black Belt and a member of the SWEnet Twin Cities Leadership Team. Inspired by her own two daughters, Kate is committed to empowering women and girls to achieve their full potential, whether it be through a STEM career or other pursuits. In her personal time, Kate enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading historical fiction books, and staying active through CrossFit.
