Meghan McDonald, P.E. is a mining and civil engineer with 19 years of engineering experience in both consulting engineering and with the State of New Mexico. She is a registered professional engineer with widely recognized technical expertise in the reclamation of abandoned mine features across the state of New Mexico. She is the engineering manager of the New Mexico Abandoned Mine Land Program where she works to safeguard and reclaim abandoned mines that present a public safety hazard and are a detriment to the environment. Meghan McDonald is an active member of the SWE Central New Mexico Professional Section, having served as President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Outreach Committee Member since 2015. She is passionate about mentoring and performing outreach to future STEM leaders.
