Process Engineer
Texas Instruments
Dallas, Texas, United States
Sammy Zellner is a Process Engineer at Texas Instruments (TI) with a BS and MS in Materials Science. Through her passions for job search, personal development, and workplace inclusivity, Sammy has become both new hire/intern training champion and face of women in engineering for TI. After seeing a lack of resources available to new hires, she organized and implemented a 90-day onboarding plan, decreasing the ramp to contribution time for new hires from 6 to 3 months. Through this action plan, she increased the likelihood of interns to return to her organization, improved full-time new hire retention, and helped balance the heavy workload that can cause stress for new employees. Her other passions for development and inclusion have led her to become the youngest female engineer in her factory to earn a place on TI’s prestigious Tech Ladder and a mentor to all minority and early-career engineers around her.
