Engine Asset Manager
United Airlines
Chicago, Illinois, United States
Katie Obbagy works for United Airlines as an Engine Asset Manager. She has previous experience in the aerospace & automotive industries, and graduated from the University of Dayton as a Mechanical & Aerospace Engineer.
In 2022, she was diagnosed with ADHD after getting feedback on a performance review that showcased both high-achieving creativity, but struggles with time management and organizational skills. The diagnosis caused her to deep-dive into the effects that ADHD has on all aspects of life, including work. She can therefore appreciate the challenges that can arise from work environments that are not set up to support those with ADHD or other neurodiversities.
She has been a member and leader in SWE for 14 years. In her free time, Katie enjoys giving back to her community, spending time with friends, crafting, kayaking, hiking, and playing sports.
