Kelly Harbison is currently a Senior Engineer at Toyota Motor North America responsible for aerodynamic development. She brings over 8 years of experience in the automobile industry working in exterior design and aerodynamics. In her current role, she has learned to balance long wind tunnel test travel days with motherhood. She earned her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Missouri and her Master’s in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan. She has been a member of the executive council of SWE-Detroit for 8 years spanning roles from Vice President of Finance to Historian to Global & Multicultural Co-Chair. Kelly lives in Detroit with her husband where they manage dual automotive engineering careers and has just survived her first year as a new working M.O.M. with 1 kid, age 1. When she has time she enjoys biking and crocheting hats for her daughter, nephew, and nieces.
