Lynette Shiroma is a lead project engineer with Boeing Commercial Airplanes Materials and Processes, bringing over 15 years of experience with companies such as Boeing, Blue Origin, and Nuspace (now PCX Aerosystems). She holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa and a certificate in Composite Analysis and Design from the University of Washington. She was also elected in 2025 to serve on the Executive Board of her labor union, the Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace (SPEEA), as one of the Northwest Vice Presidents.
Born and raised in Hawaii to parents of Okinawan and Japanese descent, Lynette applies the values of aloha, kuleana, lōkahi, and pono in both her professional and personal life. In her primary work on material obsolescence, she is dedicated to fostering collaboration, ethical decision-making, and empowerment in the workplace.
