Tomomi Arita is a Sr. Technical Program Manager at Siemens residing in the US. She grew up in a small village on the southern island of Japan called Kyushu. Tomomi ventured out to the US for college. After earning her undergraduate degrees in graphic design and fine art, she worked as a desktop publisher at a small boutique company for several years. A deepening interest in web localization and design ultimately brought her to Mentor Graphics (later acquired by Siemens), where she took on a wide range of roles in the last 20 years. As a minority from multiple angles, Tomomi continues to assess the perception of herself and others to achieve success and be her true self in a global technology company. She has a BA in Fine Arts and an MBA from Portland State University.
