Jessica (Fischer) Christy received a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering Technology from SUNY Canton. She started her professional career in hands-on wind turbine drivetrain testing with Clemson University. Jessica then transitioned to GE Renewable Energy’s advanced repairs engineering team where she designed innovative and cost-effective processes and tooling for onshore wind turbines and traveled to wind sites to trial repairs. Previously, she was an Wind Operations Engineer at RWE where she supported troubleshooting, operations, and maintenance activities. Jessica has since rejoined GE Vernova as a Repair Deployment Leader bringing custom tools to the field globally. In her various roles, Jessica has spent countless hours on jobsites enduring the difficulties of inequitable PPE offerings, resulting in her advocacy for properly fitting PPE. Jessica is a life member of SWE and a chapter leader for the WRISE NY Capital Region chapter. She enjoys mentoring and supporting the growth and development of future engineers.
