Kristin Zatwarnicki is a Design Release Engineer at General Motors, specializing in rear seat structures. She has been in the automotive field since graduating with her BS in Mechanical Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology in 2017. She received her MS in Mechanical Engineering from University of Michigan-Dearborn in 2023. Kristin started her career at Ford Motor Company as a body structures and closures engineer. At GM, she works (remotely) with a global team located in Michigan, China, South Korea, and Mexico to design, validate, and manufacture 3rd row seat structures for a future program.
Kristin has been involved with SWE since 2013 and held numerous leadership positions at the collegiate and professional levels. Most recently, she was the FY23 Detroit section President. She is the RIT Collegiate Section Counselor and FY25 SWE Detroit Civic Advocacy Chair.
