Michelle Schlie is the North Central Supply Chain Region Vice President for Frito-Lay, with 25 years of industry experience. She previously served as Senior Director of Quality Control and Food Safety, overseeing programs across North America. Since joining Frito-Lay in 2009, she has held various leadership roles in manufacturing and technical operations. Michelle began her career at ExxonMobil and Corbion in engineering, technical sales, and manufacturing. She holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and an M.S. in Engineering Management from the University of Kansas. A dedicated mentor, she is a member of the K-State IMSE Academy and has served on its advisory board. She actively supports women in STEM through the Society of Women Engineers, Women in Manufacturing, and PepsiCo’s ERG initiatives. Recognized with K-State’s 2021 Professional Progress Award, Michelle is committed to fostering leadership and gender parity in STEM.
