Lesa Tran is an accomplished engineering leader with over two decades of experience in industrial and operational excellence. She earned her BS in Industrial Engineering from Kettering University in 2002 and began her career as a consulting engineer in the automotive sector. Lesa spent 19 years at Whirlpool Corporation in roles spanning manufacturing, engineering, lab management and six sigma initiatives.
Since 2018, she has focused on mentoring others in Six Sigma, helping professionals unlock the full potential of continuous improvement. She’s played a pivotal role in evolving Six Sigma programs, supporting new Master Black Belts, and driving innovative improvements.
Lesa is now the Design for Excellence Manager at Daikin Applied Americas, where she leads strategic initiatives in Design for Manufacturing, Assembly, Cost, Reliability, and of course Design for Six Sigma. Her hands-on approach to leadership and problem-solving continues to empower teams and drive innovation across engineering disciplines.
