Rebekah Hanewinkel is a Process Automation Manager at Dow, with over a decade of experience in the industrial gas and material science spaces. While Rebekah was earning her B.S. in Chemical Engineering at Purdue University, she gained an appreciation for global engineering solutions, completing projects and internships in The Philippines; Beirut, Lebanon; Houston, TX; and Montreal, Quebec. After graduation, she joined the Air Liquide rotational program, which propelled her into a start-up and commissioning role in the capital project group, where she supported six plant start-ups across the U.S. and Canada. She then moved to Dow to do design engineering work, contributing to the control system design of several hydrocarbon facilities along the Gulf Coast and in Alberta, including managing dynamic simulation efforts as a global SME. She leads automation capital project teams, both in technical design and project management, from front end loading (FEL) through start-up.
