Mengxi Chen has been an R&D software engineer at Siemens EDA since 2020, focusing on developing parasitic extraction tools. She works on advanced parasitic device modeling and serves as the primary engineering liaison with multiple leading chip foundries. Prior to Siemens EDA, she earned dual B.S. in Chemical Engineering and Chemistry from the University of Minnesota and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She is a Chinese immigrant and semiconductor engineer, and navigates and challenges cultural and gender stereotypes in software design and semiconductor manufacturing.
