Stephanie Barajas is a Senior Process Engineer at GlobalFoundries in NY. She graduated with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering with Minors in Materials Science and Engineering and Sustainable Energy Systems Engineering from Clarkson University in 2022. She will complete her M.S in Data Science and Analytics at Suny Polytechnic Institute at the end of 2025. Her research experiences include developing MXene nanocomposites for sensing lead ions in water to help with environmental remediation, developing and characterizing nickel-based MOFs for smart-glass technologies, and an anaerobic digester in Canton,NY that produced effluent for farmlands and biofuel for a local building. She also interned with Beacon Institute to develop a feasible plan for the electrification of the municipal fleet and buildings and at Wolfspeed as a Photolithography Process Engineer. She is incredibly passionate about technology and advancements in STEM. In her free time, Stephanie enjoys playing soccer, hiking, skiing, rock climbing, and running.
