Sylvia, a Director and Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Master Black Belt, brings close to 30 years of experience in diverse manufacturing sectors. She has fostered LSS teams and cultures, personally trained and coached thousands in LSS methodologies. Leading Operations Training and Development at GlobalFoundries Singapore, her dedication to people development strengthens the talent pool.
As chair of the GlobalWomen Singapore chapter, Sylvia champions inclusive environments, promoting women’s advancement through connections, mentorship and development programs.
Sylvia is a 2022 Honoree for The Manufacturing Institute’s STEP Ahead Awards, which celebrate women in STEM and production careers for their leadership. She is also a recipient of her company’s CEO Award in 2020 for her remarkable leadership in fostering inclusive environments in DEIB.
She holds a BEng (Honors) in Mechanical Engineering from Newcastle upon Tyne (UK) in 1996 and an MSc in Statistics from National University of Singapore in 2002.
