Jess Sorick is the Health, Safety, and Environmental Manager at the J.M. Smucker Co. (JMS)’s Folgers manufacturing site in New Orleans, LA. Jess has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and is working on her M.S. in Engineering Management & Technology from Louisiana Tech University. Jess served on the SWE Outreach Committee for a few years, focusing on the Parent-Educator-Program (PEP) of Invent It Build It (IIBI). She was also in various roles in her collegiate SWE section, Pitt SWE, including Vice President of Outreach. Jess is also actively involved in the women’s ERG at JMS where she leads the NOLA campus’s first chartered plant-level women’s ERG in the company.
