Jessica Young received a B.Sc. in Materials Science and Engineering from UMN Twin Cities and a B.Sc. in Chemistry from the Univeristy of Winnipeg. She started her professional career as a Chemical Process Engineer at Hutchinson Technology Inc., a TDK Group, focused on the sputter deposition process in the microfabrication of microelectronic devices. She expanded her experience to Quality Engineering and Program management over the next few years before transitioning to ITW Deltar Fasteners where her current focus is Innovation Engineering. Jessica leads the D&I Committee and the Technical Community Outreach Committee at Deltar Fasteners, promoting ITW Core values in DIverity and Inclusion and strength with the community. SWE has been part of her life since college where she held the Corporate Outreach role for 2 years. As an Indigenous women, she sees the teachings and experiences from her community leaders and elders as a strength that guides her daily.
