What is PIE? A delicious dessert? Well yes, but in this case, no. PIE is an acronym for a self-reflection technique that increases an individual’s effectiveness. From "person" to "personnel," a P.I.E. mindset is applicable for self-development and leading teams. It enables an individual to excel at managing "tough" feelings in a productive manner. In this session, you will be exposed to the key pieces of the "PIE": Pause: Taking a break or breath before responding. Introspection: The "why" methodology of breaking down an emotion. "What am I feeling, why am I feeling this?" Find the root of the disturbance. Exercise: Exercise is giving a healthy outlet for the emotion taking place. That outlet can be literal exercise and movement, but it can also take the form of tough conversations once emotions have settled.
